- By duration
- Session: deleted when you close the browser. Persistent: stay on your device for a set period.
- By purpose
- Necessary: essential for the site to work; they do not require authorisation. Analytics: measure aggregate use of the site; they require consent.
Marketing: they measure campaigns and allow relevant ads to be shown on other platforms; they require consent.

04 Your consent
