Starting point

The Tech Tourism Cluster brings together more than 140 tourism and technology companies: hotels, campsites, agencies, airlines, software, payments, universities. It wanted its members to understand what AI can do in their sector and to leave building, not listening.

What we did

We wrote a report on AI in the sector and designed two training sessions with our Delegation Ladder as the common thread: a basic one (ask, remember, repeat, connect) and an advanced one at their annual summit (produce, schedule, act alone). Every layer with the same rhythm: demo, how-to, practice.

The change

Before and now.

Before

  • Lots of interest in AI and little practice
  • Very different sectors within the same cluster
  • Theoretical training that doesn't reach day-to-day work

Now

  • A common framework to talk about AI in the sector
  • Every layer with a demo, how-to and practice
  • Members who leave having built something

Step by step.

  1. Deliverable

    Sector report

    AI in tourism

We analyse what AI is doing in tourism and where it adds value for each type of member.

  2. Method

    Delegation Ladder

    Seven layers

We order the training from less to more autonomy: from asking AI to letting it act alone.

  3. Training

    Basic session

    From asking to connecting

Online, with three hands-on sprints: a project, a custom assistant and an email.

  4. Training

    Advanced session

    From producing to acting alone

In person, at their annual summit, building with the most advanced layers.

  5. Person

    Members

    Leave building

Every member leaves with something done and a clear next rung.

And up and running.

For the team

Every member leaves building.
